FAQs

The Early Childhood camp program at the Katz JCC offers both a half day and full day option for campers 2 years old through entering 1st grade. The half day program runs from 9AM-1PM while the full day program is available from 7AM-6PM. Campers may select 4 or 5 days per week and must commit to at least 4 weeks of the summer. The JCC Camps at Medford welcomes campers entering Pre-K through 9th grade in a full day program. The camp day begins at 10AM and ends at 4PM. With transportation, campers can generally expect to be picked up between 8:30 and 9:15AM and dropped off between 4:30 and 5:30PM. Campers must enroll for at least 3 weeks of the summer.

Yes! The Open Hearts/Open Doors (OH/OD) special needs inclusion camp program accommodates children with disabilities to fully participate with age-appropriate peers at the JCC Camps at Medford and Early Childhood Camps. Both the Early Childhood Camps and JCC Camps at Medford provide a Kosher lunch for its campers each day. Lunches are both kid-friendly and nutritious and always include a main entree along with nutritious sides including both fruits and vegetables. In addition, campers will be provided a snack and daily ice cream or popsicle. All products served are nut-free and numerous options are available to accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions.

Both the Early Childhood camps and JCC Camps at Medford provide an inclusive Jewish environment where children learn about Jewish traditions and cultures that can enrich every aspect of their life. This values based approach makes both the Early Childhood Camps and JCC Camps at Medford a welcoming environment for all regardless of religious affiliation.

The Early Childhood Camps program, located at the Katz JCC requires campers be dropped off and picked up directly from the JCC. Transportation is included as part of the JCC Camps at Medford experience. With over 800 bus stops from Philadelphia to the Shore, transportation is made both easy and convenient from most areas in the region.

When deciding between Early Childhood Camps and the JCC Camps at Medford for your little one, there are a few important factors. Campers attending the JCC Camps at Medford are required to be potty trained. Early Childhood Camps offer a nap/rest time, while there are no naps at the JCC Camps at Medford.

Yes! Both the Early Childhood Camps and JCC Camps at Medford offer extended care options held at the Katz JCC in Cherry Hill starting at 7:15 AM and ending at 6 PM.

Campers entering 7th, 8th and 9th grade have the opportunity to travel as part of our very popular travel program through the JCC Camps at Medford. Campers will travel on both day and overnight trips that include stops at places like Hershey Park, Six Flags, Whitewater Rafting, Indoor Skydiving and so much more! In observance of Rosh Hashanah, the JCC will close at 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 2nd, and will be closed on Thursday, October 3rd and Friday, October 4th. We will reopen at 7:00am on Saturday, October 5th.
